Another Sunday for your Drumming Pleasures.............

Hello my Friends, Its been an interesting week of weather for sure, with all the rain and thunder in the mountains and then the huge storm that passed through in the valley here on Thursday night! Wow, that was one huge storm too, with 60 mile an hour gusts that blew down several trees in this neighborhood and many others. Lots of lightining in the sky and it looked like the end was here. Fortunatly it wasn't. I spent most of the week driving down to Cedar Grove in Kings Canyon where we had a controled burn. Its always nice to go down there with the river right there, which of course is just raging from all the snow runoff! I wouldn't even get near it for fear it might suck you in. Looking forward to drumming tonight since its been last week for music and I'm ready. Come on up and see what we're up too if you wish.............Enjoy you Life..............

The Weekend.............

We stayed at the Gallery last night after a really big and great drumming. It was a dreamy night with the river in the background and the cool breezes. Slept in late and had breakfeast with Gary to another sunny and cool day. It was a Memorable weekend. We're Thankful for all of our friends who make our lives rich and free........................

Take me to the RIver..................

Its been pretty darn hot around here and I"m sure we're not out of the woods yet, not till fall anyways! So, its been the river life when we can, some more than others of course. Very cool and high running snow melt makes getting in refreshing to say the least! Soon it'll be going in late at night after drumming, that's living! But, not yet for that, its too fast and dangerous. Shelly and I went down to Slicky on Sunday before drumming and soon were joined by Jose and Gary and a couple of the rafting crew. Nice times with alittle wine and some goodies to eat. We didn't go in but of course Gary and Jose did..............A great way to be Cooooooooool............
Lawerence and Jonny.........

We've been following the updates about Lawerence and he was going to be released today already, though not without some new issues. He did have a heartattack and even though he didn't want to call 911 because his chest felt like there was a ballon filling up inside, he finally did and it saved his life. Now it'll be all about taking it easy and starting a get healthy regime. He had a almost fully blocked artery and one partial. Watch what you eat and get some exercise maybe some advice for all of us.......................

Prayers needed.....Breaking News....

Friends,

I just received a call from Susan at the Spritual Awareness Center. She said that Lawrence had a heart attack Sunday night. He's in ICU at Kaweah Delta.

Please send your prayers and love to him. And, if possible, go visit him. I don't have everyone's email addresses and/or phone numbers so please let others know that aren't on the above list.

Love and Light,

Nadine

Happy Thursday.................

Wow! Thanks to all of you who sent comps for the Monterey pics on my last post. And, yes there were some detractors too, “ This is supposed to be a drumming site” Well, I know its off base sometimes, but it’s a life more than a specific Drumming. Drumming is a free form of expression. With us its even more, it’s a lifestyle of seeking life’s best experiences. We’re encouraging more than drumming, more than just learning a beat . We surround ourselves with seekers of adventure and knowledge. Trying to lead a healthy life and being Happy. That’s what its mostly about, being Happy with yourself. Most of you get it already and others should just come on out and spend a Sunday or two with us and share the Happiness that we make together.

Its already Wednesday................

Good Wednesday my friends. it’s a pretty nice day here, cool and sunny. Its just a tease for what’s coming, I’m talking about the big heat on Sunday. 103 they’re saying……ergh!!!! It is that time of year. We’ll be sweating on Sunday and Sunday night. It all gets better when it gets dark and the down canyon breezes come and they are pretty predictable. We feel them as we drum and smiles and relieve takes over the circle.

For your viewing pleasure on this Wednesday I’m including some pics from our last weeks trip to Monterey. In our quest to skate every coastal town in California, we can now check this town off the list, and highly recommend it to any of you who skate or bike or hike. There’s a great path that starts in Pacific Grove and winds through the town of Monterey, down Cannery Row and past the Monterey Bay aquarium, then all the way up the coast to the big sand dunes past the town of Seaside…….17 miles. We did it in a casual groove of two days and ate some good food in between. …….Enjoy…..and feel free to make screen savers……….

Mondays drumming thoughts...........

I took this pic before it got really big.............

Great drumming last nite..Wow!! Lots of folks showed up and Linda and Lawrence were there too. Good grooves and hula hooping by friends I didn't even know could hula hoop. We had probably our last fire, it was hot, but not too bad considering. But, next week we'll switch to the alcohol fire....the rubbing kind. Yea, if you weren't there last night you missed a good one, but we know that its the start of the drumming, lay down by the river season so plan on coming up soon and joining us. We've got some new members we'll introduce you to. Enjoy you day.............

Its their special night too..............Thanks to all who enjoyed and helped.

The start of something big.................

I took these pics last Sunday, late afternoon, down by the river. The River is going at a pretty good clip since. Its rafting season and boats are out everyday. Lots of rafting folks will be joining us in all that we do I"m sure. I had heard that everyone is going to see "Mezcal" tonite at the Cellar Door. There will be a table saved so come on over......
