Happy Wednesday.................

Had a chance to go do a five star climb in Yosemite Valley yesterday and I went! It was a test of all my bike riding and working out and I felt GOOD even though it was very physical! It was a really nice and cool, sunny day and the higher we got up the rock the windier it got. This was fine with me and of course the views were the best that the greatest rock climbing place in the world can offer!

Nice Wednesday to you my friends, Its was a great drumming sunday of course, with the river making itself known in the background and friends showing who don't normally come to sundays. There's still lots of cottonwood fluff all around looking like old snow on the Gallery grounds.

Wa, Wa, Whens day...................

We had a "Hafla" Belly Dance gathering at our house last Saturday evening and even though it was for all the local Belly Dancers, several drummers from the circle came by. Lots of others brought Dumbeks, Tambourines and Finger Cymbals, and all the dancers danced and we drummed. Great Time!! Thanks for all your help!! Good Food too, in fact it was the best! Around here, and I guess lots of other places, we do all our partys and gatherings "Potluck" style and we sure have some really fine cooks around us. Lots of vegetarian food and some sweets. And.........We had a fire spinner who gave us a great show with the Poi and fire sticks. We're living in some good times!
But, its been really HOT! The temps are teasing the 100* mark. The air is filled with the smell of Orange Blossoms and that sure smells good and makes my eyes itch.
I'll let you know, Thanks for checking in my friend................

Blast from the Past

We had a surprise visit from Ray and Marley all the way from Oklahoma. They stayed at the gallery for a couple of days and came to sunday night. It was a good time too, lots of folks showed and made the grooves the patented KRDC sounds that people come all the way from Oklahoma to hear.Ray was on his Dumbek and we could tell he hadn't lost any of his drumming skills. It was our first introduction to his 4 year old son Marley who was on a whirlwind tour of the drumcircle and all around. Good to see old friends! You all know the story....Anyone who has come to the circle will always return...........Enjoy your FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!

Wood is Good..........

Big Thanks to Pam B. for giving us the wood to have a great and hot fire for our Sunday Night festivities! It was dry wood and made for a warm night with little smoke, not like the smokey driftwood we use from the river when we can't find any other wood to burn. So, all that said, the dancers were happy with a smoke free ring to dance the counterclockwise groovings too. Good crowd and everyone was happy when they left to start another week in April. We're expecting some storm and rain and Thunder this afternoon. We're riding Dry Creek at 2.00 so we just might get into some of that action and that's okay with me! I'm bringing my photo maker and my jacket and my energy bars just in case............Have a good Tuesday my friends....

News from the western slopes of the Sierra

Moving along on the John Muir trail of life. Man!, you could really tell that our economic stimulus package got to the Drum Circle, finally. We had a huge showing Sunday night and it was all dancing drumming and living life in the fresh. We had five congas and three players on one side and Gary, Nadine and myself on the other. We got the grooves going and they got the grooves going and all the dancers took advantage and churned it up. Moving with the grooving and swaying with the playing!! I can't wait till I get my golden parachute!
The wildflowers are going quick, in fact, on our 28 mile ride yesterday there was lots of brown coming in on the south sides and it won't be long now till its all about brown. I took these shots just last week Thursday. Enjoy your day and come on up and lets catch up...............Love to YOU.........
